About me
i am an american expat living alone in cagayan de oro city. since everyone asks, ill cover the questions i hear pretty much every time:
yes, i really do live alone, like alone alone (this is, evidently, very shocking to people)...
no, i really dont have a filipina girlfriend, and no im not particularly looking for one...
why did i come here? because covid wiped out my business, and i decided i wanted to see more of the world while i was still young enough to do it, AND because i have a inanak that lives here in cdo (10 years old) that i wanted to be closer to.
how long will i stay? i dont know. for at least a year, possibly longer, possibly forever, but also possibly may move on to europe or south america at some point. cant say for sure. i DO know i wont be staying in CDO for more than a year though... if i stay in the philippines longer than that, ill move to somewhere... else. maybe bohol, or camiguin, or i dont know where, im still exploring. just somewhere that isnt so... ugh. crowded, noisy, dirty, filled with traffic, etc...
and most importantly, NO I AM NOT BANK OF AMERICA. sigh.
